Code of conduct

Mission:

Urban Roots is where you are free to be your authentic self. We provide a safe space for anyone who identifies as a kind human. Creating this environment starts with our team fostering the culture we want to see across the industry.

We are our actions, not our words:

  • We provide accessible and equitable opportunities for growth or training; whether you’re interested in moving into a leadership position, would like to obtain your cicerone, aspire to be a brewer, are inspired to create specials in the kitchen, or create a new position. Urban Roots is a place of opportunity and experience.

  • We are radically honest. Radical honesty frees you from problems and deepens connections, understanding and forgiveness. At Urban Roots, radical honesty means we work together in an open and honest way to create the best environment for our guests and our staff.

  • Our staff, as well as our guests, are diverse, eclectic and unique. We are all coming from a different place with different experiences, it is important to see each other’s interpretations of our shared reality and always come from a place of kindness.
